Reporting performances is extremely helpful and greatly appreciated.
One of the primary sources of income for composers is performance royalties. Performance royalties for works by Iryna Aleksiychuk are administered by the non-profit performing rights organization SGAE.However, royalties can only be distributed if SGAE is informed about performances. This information must be provided by performers or organizers using the performance report form below.
In many cases, no licensing fee is charged. Concert halls, universities, and similar institutions often hold annual blanket (site) licenses that already cover performances at their venues. Music performed as part of worship services or K–12 education is typically exempt from licensing fees altogether. For smaller, low-budget concerts, any applicable fee is adjusted accordingly. Larger-scale events are licensed at an appropriate level. In all cases, reporting performances ensures fair compensation and proper recognition for living composers.
Performers are also encouraged to inform the composer about their performance. This information supports more effective promotion of the music, is valuable for grant applications, and helps document the ongoing performance history of the works.
