The duo of Iryna Aleksiychuk and Yurii Kot has existed since 1983. They are laureates of three international competitions, two of which – the ARD International Music Competition in Munich and the Murray Dranoff Two Piano Competition in Miami – are considered among the most prestigious and challenging in the world.
Their repertoire includes classical masterpieces as well as original and exclusive works created specifically for their ensemble. Aleksiychuk and Kot are also performers, and often first performers, of compositions by many Ukrainian composers, including Y. Stankovych, H. Liashenko, Y. Ishchenko, L. Dychko, O. Kostin, B. Filts, Ya. Lapinskyi, V. Yefremov, V. Zhuravytskyi, S. Lunyov, M. Kovalinas, and others.
